Introduction

Our S&B Cold Air Intake systems for Duramax trucks are designed to significantly reduce air restriction and improve airflow for 6.6L Duramax engines. Depending on the application, these systems deliver up to 53.06% better airflow than the stock intake. Each intake features a fully enclosed airbox that helps protect the filter from dirt and unwanted engine heat, allowing cooler, denser air to reach the engine for improved performance.

Vehicle Fitment

This Cold Air Intake is available for the following Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra 2500/3500 6.6L Duramax applications:

  • 2007.5-2010 GMC Sierra 2500/3500 equipped with the 6.6L Duramax LMM engine
  • 2007.5-2010 Chevrolet Silverado 2500/3500 equipped with the 6.6L Duramax LMM engine
  • 2011-2016 GMC Sierra 2500/3500
  • 2011-2016 Chevrolet Silverado 2500/3500
  • 2017-2026 GMC Sierra 2500/3500 equipped with the 6.6L Duramax
  • 2017-2026 Chevrolet Silverado 2500/3500 equipped with the 6.6L Duramax

Important: The 2011-2016 application fits only vehicles equipped with the OEM-style 3-bolt flange on the turbo direct pipe. Race tuning must be performed after installation on this application. This kit is not compatible with Cab & Chassis trucks.

Maximum Performance

These Duramax cold air intake systems are engineered to reduce restriction and increase airflow compared to the factory intake. Depending on the specific application, airflow improvements range from 29.10% to 53.06% over stock. The fully enclosed airbox shields the filter from dirt while helping prevent hot engine-bay air from entering the intake system. This allows the engine to receive cooler, denser air for improved efficiency and performance.

Protect Your Engine

Each intake includes a large, high-efficiency air filter designed to provide excellent filtration while supporting increased airflow. Filter options include 8-layer Cotton Cleanable or Dry Extendable media, allowing you to choose the filtration setup that best suits your needs. The enclosed airbox provides additional protection by helping keep dirt and engine heat away from the filter.

Avoid Check Engine Lights

S&B engineers these intake systems to work with the vehicle's factory calibration as well as properly configured custom tuning. Applications equipped with a Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor are precisely calibrated to maintain proper airflow readings and help prevent check engine lights caused by the intake system.

Multiple Air Inlets

These intake systems are designed with multiple air inlet options to maximize airflow and provide greater flexibility. Depending on the application, a secondary inlet can be left open for additional airflow or sealed using the included silicone plug when you prefer to draw air primarily through the fender inlet.

Large-Diameter Intake Tube

The large-diameter intake tube is designed to create a smooth, direct path for air traveling into the engine while reducing unnecessary restriction. By improving the path and volume of incoming air, the intake supports increased airflow, engine efficiency, and overall performance.

Stronger, Longer-Lasting Silicone Components

S&B uses premium silicone components that provide a strong seal and improved durability compared to standard rubber. The silicone material is designed to withstand temperatures up to 400°F without cracking or tearing. Its high-friction surface also helps prevent filters and couplers from slipping off the intake tube during operation.

Cooler Air, Better Performance

The one-piece enclosed airbox design includes an integrated seal to help block hot engine-bay air from entering the intake system. Tuner depot was very helpful I thought I screwed up on the tune part and flashing the ecm but there customer service told me I didn’t mess it up and helped me through it but one thing for sure is nothing to do with tuner depot but no one every tells you on a first time doing one of these trucks the amount of hours it takes it took me almost 30 hours which if I had the right tools and confidence I could of probably cut it down to about 20 but kit works great it’s got awesome power now and I’ll be doing the down pipe very soon to I highly recommend just buying it and getting it over with because the truck is still very quiet almost like it’s a notch above stock

I purchased the efi live sotf tunes along with Dpf delete kit, dpf was good quality, tuner worked with me and not only sent my autocal loaded with a sotf tune but also sent me a few single tunes to use until I installed the switch, the only negative was that 130hp was the max power tune single or switch on the fly, but over all I was pretty happy and service was very good throughout.

GM Duramax L5P CAN BUS Plug Kit (2017-2023)

Before installing never had a code after install getting low fuel rail pressure code under load. If I keep RPMs up just a little ( by switching to manual shift and never come out of 5 gear Allison 6 speed trans) will work fine . If u shift to 6th gear lower RPM as soon as u go up a little incline it starves for fuel and goes into reduced power mode. But if u mash the excelsior and down shifts it will take off like a rocket.
