Introduction

The cold-side intercooler pipe for the 6.7L Powerstroke replaces the factory restrictive pipe that connects the intercooler to the intake manifold on 2011–2015 Ford F-250 and F-350 trucks. The OEM pipe cracks under high boost and restricts airflow. This upgrade uses mandrel-bent aluminum tubing, 4-ply silicone couplers and heavy-duty spring clamps to improve airflow and eliminate a known failure point.

What Does a Cold-Side Intercooler Pipe Do?

The cold-side charge pipe carries cooled, compressed air from the intercooler outlet to the intake manifold. Maintaining full bore diameter through this section reduces pressure drop, lowers EGTs, reduces turbo lag and improves throttle response — particularly under towing or high-load conditions.
