Q: How much does it cost to delete a 2.8L Duramax?

A: Cost varies based on which delete parts you install and whether the work is DIY or shop-performed. This bundle includes the tuning interface, delete tune file and required credits only—it does not include physical delete pipes or block-off components. If you are looking for an LWN EGR delete solution the LWN EGR Delete Kit is sold separately.

Q: Do I need any extra credits or hardware to flash the tune?

A: Credits and the flash interface are included when the OBD2 option is selected. If you did not select the OBD2 option, no flash device and no credits are included and will need to be purchased separately.

Q: Do I need to tune the truck before removing emissions parts?

A: Yes. The truck must be tuned with no active codes before any emissions components are removed. Skipping that step can create flash issues and may risk ECM problems.

Q: Can I go back to stock after flashing?

A: In most cases you can return to a stock file if you saved the original read when the truck was still stock. If emissions hardware has been removed, returning to stock calibration typically isn't recommended because it can trigger faults and drivability issues.
