EGR Delete Kit for 2014–2019 Ram 1500 & Jeep Grand Cherokee 3.0L EcoDiesel

The EGR system on the 3.0L EcoDiesel is one of its most common trouble spots. Over time the valve and cooler load up with soot, the cooler can leak coolant into the intake, and the engine ends up breathing hot, dirty exhaust instead of fresh air. This kit gives you two ways to deal with it: a Stage 1 bypass that keeps the factory hardware in place, or a Stage 2 full delete that removes it entirely. Either way, your engine takes in cleaner, cooler air and runs the way it should.

Vehicle Fitment

Years: 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019
Make: Ram, Jeep
Model: Ram 1500 EcoDiesel (2014–2019, Stage 1 & Stage 2) / Jeep Grand Cherokee EcoDiesel (2014–2018, Stage 1 only)
Engine: 3.0L EcoDiesel V6 turbo diesel

Stage 1: EGR Bypass (Ram 1500 & Jeep Grand Cherokee)

Stage 1 blocks exhaust gas from recirculating into the intake while leaving the EGR valve, cooler, and coolant lines where they are. It's the quicker, less invasive option and the only one that fits the Grand Cherokee. On the Jeep, the job comes down to removing one crossover pipe and installing two block-off plates. You still get the main benefit — fresh air in, exhaust out — without pulling the whole system apart.

Stage 2: Complete EGR Delete (Ram 1500 only)

Stage 2 removes the EGR valve, cooler, coolant lines, and the related exhaust plumbing altogether. That means fewer things to plug, crack, or leak, a cleaner engine bay, and noticeably lower exhaust gas temperatures. Most owners also see better fuel economy once the engine stops re-burning its own exhaust. Stage 2 fits the 2014–2019 Ram 1500 EcoDiesel only.

What You Get

  • Lower EGTs — cooler exhaust gas temperatures are easier on the turbo, pistons, and valves.
  • No more plugged or leaking EGR cooler* — the failure point is gone, along with the coolant-in-the-intake risk.
  • Better fuel economy — cleaner combustion typically translates to more miles per tank.
  • Longer engine life — less soot buildup in the intake and cylinders over the long haul.
  • Everything in the box — plates, hardware, and components needed for the install; no chasing parts.
  • Your choice of stage — bypass or full delete, depending on your truck and how far you want to go.

Which Stage Should I Choose?

If you drive a Grand Cherokee, Stage 1 is your option. If you drive a Ram 1500 and want the simplest install, Stage 1 does the job. If you want the EGR system gone for good — with the biggest drop in EGTs and the cleanest engine bay — go with Stage 2.

Note: This kit is intended for off-road and competition use only and is not legal for use on pollution-controlled vehicles on public roads. It requires custom tuning to function correctly and to avoid check-engine lights or limp mode.
*Full EGR system removal applies to the Ram 1500 only. On the Jeep Grand Cherokee, the EGR components stay installed; the install involves removing one crossover pipe and fitting two block-off plates.
