Introduction

The hot-side intercooler charge pipe kit replaces the factory plastic charge pipe on the 2008–2010 Ford F-250 and F-350 6.4L Powerstroke. The OEM pipe restricts airflow and cracks under sustained boost pressure. This kit uses mandrel-bent aluminum tubing, 4-ply silicone couplers and heavy-duty spring clamps to improve airflow efficiency and eliminate a known failure point between the turbocharger outlet and intercooler inlet.

What Does a Hot-Side Intercooler Pipe Do?

The hot-side charge pipe carries compressed air from the turbocharger outlet to the intercooler inlet. Maintaining full bore diameter through this section reduces pressure drop, lowers EGTs and improves throttle response — particularly under towing or high-load conditions.
