I want to tune an Additional Truck with my EFi Live AutoCal - Additional VIN License

For customers using the EFI Live AutoCal device, it is possible to expand the number of VIN licenses to tune additional ECUs. Initially, each AutoCal device comes with one pre-configured VIN license.

If more VIN licenses are required, DPF Delete can assist with increasing your device's VIN license slot capacity, allowing for additional VIN licenses to be activated.

Important: Before validating Serial and Auth Codes, you must increase the VIN license slot capacity.

Step 1: Confirm Firmware Version

Your AutoCal must be running firmware version V3.00.028 or later for compatibility. Please verify your firmware version.

Step 2: Connect Your Device

Connect your AutoCal device to your computer using the provided USB cable.

Step 3: Enter Activation Codes

After receiving the "Activation Codes" via email, highlight all four lines of the code.

Right-click the selected text and choose "Copy".

Step 4: Launch EFILive Software

Open the EFILive V8 Scan and Tune software on your computer. This is required for managing your AutoCal device.

Step 5: Go to Licenses Tab

In EFILive V8, navigate to the [F7: Licenses] tab. Then, select the [F5: Convert] option to manage your AutoCal device’s licenses.

Step 6: Paste Your Activation Codes

Click the [Paste] button in the [F5: Convert] tab to paste the copied activation codes into the software.

Step 7: Convert the Codes

After pasting the codes, click the [Convert] button to apply the activation codes to your AutoCal device.

Now, go to the [F3: VINs] tab to see the new VIN slots available.

Step 8: Purchase Extra VIN Licenses

To ensure the additional VIN Licenses are sent to you promptly, EFI Live will first validate your AutoCal Serial Number and Auth Code before you can proceed with your order.

Purchase More VIN Licenses from EFI Live

You can now purchase the additional VIN licenses for your AutoCal device through EFI Live’s official website. Once your order is processed, EFI Live will send you the activation codes via email.

Step 9: Activate the Extra VIN Licenses

• Once you receive the activation codes, reconnect your AutoCal device to your computer.
• Open the EFILive V8 Scan and Tune software.
• Go to the [F7: Licenses] section and then to the [F3: VINs] tab.
• Paste the Activation Code and input the number of Licenses sent to you in the email.

• Then, click [Activate VIN License].
• This action will add the new licenses to your AutoCal device.
