AutoCal Error Recovery Guide
If the programming process is interrupted (power loss, loose cable), your PCM may become corrupted. Follow this guide to recover.
⚠ Important: If the AutoCal's programming process is interrupted due to power loss or disconnection, it may result in a corrupted PCM that prevents the vehicle from starting.
🔌 How to Prevent This Issue
To avoid programming interruptions and protect your PCM:
- Connect the vehicle to a battery charger providing at least 10 amps of continuous power.
- Keep the ignition in the ON position throughout the entire flash process.
- Ensure the OBD2 cable is securely connected and not disturbed.
🛠️ Steps to Fix the Issue
Check the vehicle’s battery – connect a stable charger (10+ amps) if voltage is low.
Attempt to reflash the vehicle using AutoCal. Navigate to Tune → Program Full and select the calibration file again.
If a VIN error appears, the vehicle must be restored to its stock settings before any new tune can be written.
Note: We do not provide stock tune files. If a stock restoration is required, this step must be performed at a dealership (reflash to factory calibration).
