If your Mini Maxx V1 is locked and you need to unlock it, this is the code needed.  This will NOT work for the V2 Mini Maxx

This code only works on numeric root codes.  Before purchasing this code you will need to verify your tuner uses a numeric root code, NOT an alphanumeric root code. 

To begin the VIN unlock code process, we’ll need the root code, which is generated by your tuner.

Power up your device (HIGHLY RECOMMENDED to power it via a USB source rather than directly to the truck via the OBD-II interface.
Press the TOP LEFT button to open the main menu.
Scroll down until you see the SHOW SETTINGS sub-menu, and then press the corresponding menu button to select it.
Hold down the BOTTOM LEFT BUTTON until the unit beeps - this may take up to 20 seconds. After it beeps, release the button and it will bring up a 4 digit code at the top of the screen. This is your Root Code. Note: Your root code is NOT 1111. It is the next set of four numbers displayed on the screen. Make sure this code is all numbers without letters.  If it has letters this unlock code will not work. If it's only numbers, this code will work.  We will reach out to you for the code and the truck it was last used on.  When you unplug the device this root code will likely change so once we ask for the code, power on the tuner and get the code, the tuner cannot lose power until you get the unlock code entered.
